Camp Hawkins is a unique overnight summer camp designed for children with special needs, including diagnoses such as Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other physical or developmental disabilities. Our mission is to share the love of Christ with families by meeting a practical and powerful need—respite care.
We’re currently seeking compassionate and dedicated camp counselors for summer 2026. Each counselor is paired one-on-one with a camper for the entire session, becoming both a caregiver and a trusted friend. Counselors help their campers engage in all camp activities—from recreation to crafts to worship—while also assisting with personal care needs.
At Camp Hawkins, our goal is simple yet profound: to ensure every camper knows they are deeply loved and valued by Christ. Counselors play a vital role in this mission, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus in every moment of camp life.
Working at Camp Hawkins means joining a community filled with laughter, lifelong friendships, meaningful challenges, and spiritual growth. One of the unique aspects of our camp is flexibility—staff members can choose which sessions they’d like to work and are not required to commit to the entire summer.
