How It Works

Fully Funded Send Me Now opportunities are one of the following:
Short-term teams led by a BCM campus minister or church-related partner.

Full summer teams supervised by on-site missionaries or church staff.

Full or partial summer opportunities for 1-2 students supervised by on-site missionaries or church staff.
How are students selected for Fully Funded opportunities?
Students submit an online application to Send Me Now by November 30. Application is not a guarantee of appointment. Appointments are based on interviews, references, and background checks.

Students must contact their local BCM campus minister or church college minister to set up an initial interview. If the BCM campus minister or church college minister recommends the student for service, the student will be invited to Discovery Day.

At Discovery Day, students will be interviewed by a team of campus ministers and student leaders, taking into account expressed preferences, availability of students, and needs of the ministry setting. It is not possible or acceptable to guarantee any student preference over another student.

Students who are offered an assignment will be notified within 24 hours of Discovery Day.

Offered assignments can be accepted or rejected.

Travel, supplemental insurance, meals, and housing expenses for mission projects are covered by Send Me Now and/or the local place of ministry.
What is required:
November 30, 2025: Online Application Due

Send Me Now applications for fully funded opportunities must be submitted (with photo uploaded and references pending).

January 9, 2026: Campus Minister Recommendation Due

All three references must be pending or completed. Campus Minister cannot be one of these online references.

Campus minister local interview must be complete and submitted.

$100 Program Fee due – paid by student to campus BCM.

January 23, 2026: GBMB Volunteer Onboarding must be completed.

January 31, 2026: Discovery Day, FBC Barnesville

All applicants for fully funded opportunities must attend Discovery Day.

April 11, 2026: EQUIP, FBC Barnesville

All appointed applicants must attend EQUIP Send Me Now Training and Commissioning.

For international opportunities: passport, immunizations, and any other required medications are required. These expenses are the responsibility of the student.

What you should consider:
Fully funded mission opportunities are OFFERED, not chosen.

Expenses, other than passport and immunizations, are covered by the fundraising and giving of students in BCMs across Georgia for the purpose of supporting students on mission.

Leadership, supervision, and logistical support for fully funded opportunities are provided by Send Me Now.

Qualifications

Christian college student demonstrating on-going spiritual growth through personal disciplines of Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and service.
Active participant in a Georgia BCM and/or Georgia Baptist Church.
Member of a Southern Baptist or other Christian church. Some opportunities require membership in a Southern Baptist Church; this is indicated on the list of opportunities.
Minimum GPA of 2.0.
At least 18 years of age before term of service begins.
Enrolled for either semester of the school year prior to the term of service.
Agree with and commit to serve in accordance with this statement of Basic Christian Beliefs during term of service.
Actively involved in raising funds for Send Me Now. Send Me Now missions is funded with money raised cooperatively by students on local campuses. Each BCM takes part in sending student missionaries by raising money locally. The funds raised on each campus are combined to pay for student missionaries from around the state to serve around the world. Those who apply and are appointed become the beneficiaries of this massive fundraising effort and are therefore expected to help and contribute to that effort. Some funds are donated through the Georgia Baptist Healthcare Foundation to assist with medical missions, and Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief to assist with disaster relief missions. Students applying as members of Georgia Baptist Churches will also need to participate in fundraising efforts.

Process

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Complete online application by November 30. Send Me Now applications for fully funded opportunities must be submitted (with photo uploaded and references pending). Earlier is preferable.

Step 2: Interview with BCM Campus Minister or Church Minister

If applying through BCM, schedule a personal interview with your campus minister. BCM campus minister recommendation form due by January 9, 2026.

All three references must be pending or completed. Campus Minister cannot be one of these online references.
GBMB Volunteer Onboarding must be completed by January 23, 2026.
$100 program fee due- paid by student to campus BCM.

Step 3: Participate in Discovery Day

Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email invitation to participate in Discovery Day January 31, 2026 at FBC Barnesville. Please respond within five days of receiving your invitation.

All applicants for fully funded opportunities must attend Discovery Day.

Step 4: Complete Additional Requirements

All applicants must complete the GBMB Volunteer Onboarding process and be approved as a volunteer.

Step 5: Attend EQUIP

EQUIP: April 11, 2026 at FBC Barnesville

All appointed applicants must attend EQUIP Send Me Now Training and Commissioning.
