Make Disciples in Costa Rica
May 22 – June 22
Project #26232 | 2 Male Students
Field Cost – $1850 + airfare per student
Join us as we train and equip U.S. and Costa Rican churches in the Missionary Task. You will work as part of the Americas Connect team as we train U.S. churches to work cross-culturally in healthy ways and help Costa Rican churches reach the lost and grow in health. Our goal is to see both U.S. and Costa Rican churches develop a passion for taking the gospel to those who need to hear where they live and to the ends of the earth. While in Costa Rica, you will work with a local church and field missionaries as we engage the canton of Santa Ana, made up of about 60,000 people with only two small Baptist churches. Areas of Santa Ana are growing and modernizing rapidly, but heading five minutes toward the mountains, you can be in a rural, laid-back community. You will also work in the small, coffee-producing community of Palmichal where a new church is being planted. Costa Ricans are friendly and welcoming people, but most of them do not understand how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Additionally, you will serve alongside at least one Americas Connect team from the States in ministry activities, training, and working with the team of Costa Rican translators. You will be involved in the logistics of helping to receive the mission team and helping with preparing the national work on the ground.
