Qualifications
- Christian college student demonstrating on-going spiritual growth through personal disciplines of Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and service.
- Active participant in a Georgia BCM and/or Georgia Baptist Church.
- Member of a Southern Baptist or other Christian church. Some opportunities require membership in a Southern Baptist Church; this is indicated on the list of opportunities.
- Minimum GPA of 2.0.
- At least 18 years of age before term of service begins.
- Enrolled for either semester of the school year prior to the term of service.
- Agree with and commit to serve in accordance with this statement of Basic Christian Beliefs during term of service.
- Actively involved in raising funds for Send Me Now. Send Me Now missions is funded with money raised cooperatively by students on local campuses. Each BCM takes part in sending student missionaries by raising money locally. The funds raised on each campus are combined to pay for student missionaries from around the state to serve around the world. Those who apply and are appointed become the beneficiaries of this massive fundraising effort and are therefore expected to help and contribute to that effort. Some funds are donated through the Georgia Baptist Healthcare Foundation to assist with medical missions, and Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief to assist with disaster relief missions. Students applying as members of Georgia Baptist Churches will also need to participate in fundraising efforts.
Process
STEP 1: Complete the Online Application
Complete online application by November 30.
Step 2: Interview with BCM Campus Minister or Church Minister
If applying through BCM, schedule a personal interview with your campus minister or church minister. If applying through a Georgia Baptist Church, schedule an interview with your church minister. BCM campus minister or church minister recommendation form due by December 15.
STEP 3: Participate in Discovery Day
Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email invitation to participate in Discovery Day January 25, 2025 at FBC, Barnesville. Please respond within five days of receiving your invitation.
Step 4: Complete Additional Requirements
All applicants must complete the GBMB Volunteer Onboarding process and be approved as a volunteer.
Students applying to serve in Ecuador or Guatemala must submit a proof of passport. This must be a color, digital copy of passport information page—valid for at least six months after the return date for your trip with at least two blank pages or copy of passport application dated no later than November 30. STEP 5: Attend Discovery Day

STEP 6: Attend EQUIP
