Refugee Church Mapper, Uganda
June 1-July 27
2 male Baptist students
You will travel by bicycle through the refugee settlements to map every Baptist church and encourage and teach them. The Refugee settlements are full of new churches that we know little to nothing about. We want to map them and find out crucial information about each church. You will then have opportunity to teach and encourage with each congregation. You will travel in pairs by bicycle through some of the largest refugee settlements in the world gathering research and demographical information. You will be teaching several different things, depending on the state of the church. Topics could range from Basics of Christianity (Salvation) to more doctrinal issues or even “Dangers of Neo-Pentecostalism.” You will travel with the basics for survival and will sleep in tents. But you will see how God is moving among refugees in a way that few will ever experience and you will have an opportunity to help them have a solid foundation.
