HOW LONG?

Semester Missions projects are 4-12 month missions experiences!

HOW DO I APPLY?

  1. The Application process for SendMeNow missions is changing. Please check back for updates.
  2. Reference forms are submitted online with the application
  3. Schedule an interview with your local BCM campus minister
  4. A current Georgia Baptist Mission Board Child protection policy MUST be submitted and cleared before any appointment is completed.  Submit these forms to your campus minister ASAP!!!

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  • Application deadlines are listed on project descriptions.
  • Applications will be reviewed & appointments made within 2 weeks of application deadline.  Applicants and their Campus Minister will be notified.
  • Every applicant MUST be a member of a Southern Baptist church & actively involved in a local BCM in Georgia.

HANDS ON INFORMATION:

  • Hands On students serve in partnership with the International Mission Board.
  • All applicants must be between 18-29 years of age & be either single or married without children and must have completed their freshman year of college.
  • All dates of service are nonnegotiable.  Applicants must be willing to serve according to the published dates, plus a couple of days on each end of the assignment for air travel.
  • All logistics & air travel (including travel visas) will be arranged for the student, by the IMB.
  • A current passport is necessary for service & must be viable for at least 6 months after returning home.  Students who need to apply for or renew a passport must do so at their own expense.  All passport applications should be submitted immediately.
  • AFTER appointment, students will be instructed regarding inoculations & medications.  These costs are not paid by IMB or SendMeNow, but are to be covered by the student.
  • All other expenses will be covered by the Georgia BCM Colegiate Missions Fund.  For this reason, it is expected that all participants be actively involved in the missions fund-raising efforts of their BCM.
